Good morning
I have a rental agreement of an apartment stipulated directly with my landlord in January 2018 stating that the landlord can yearly increase the rent by a maximum of 50 euros. Now , the new law entererd into force the 1st aug 2024 states they the landlord is allowed to increase the rent by 10 per cent ( in case if no increase incurred I. The last two years). What is the logic here? Should the landlord stick to our original contract (stipulated in 2018) or should the new law automatically and silently supersede all the conditions of my basic contract I stipulated in 2018? Can you provide me possibly with a link to any article clarifying that aspect? Thanks a lot for your help in that matter
